Body Jacob’s Ladder

I created this piece to meet a brief at University all to do with the human body. I developed a ’skin’ and ‘bone’ typeface. I wanted a way where the typeface would turn from one to the other. I came up with the idea of creating a Jacob’s Ladder. This is a device that can tilt from one side to the other while still staying together. I made it out of wood, this was to get a clattering which would represent bones hitting off one another.

The techniques I have employed for this piece include screenprinting and wood work.
